WHERE THE MAGIC TAKES SHAPE
Scent of orange blossoms and the charm of an archaic Sicily. A place where time has stopped, where colors and smells reflect the wonder of the landscape. A location suspended between sea and fire. Ancient pink walls and arches, a spontaneous, wild and Mediterranean garden where eight palms stand out on two parallel rows. An oasis where you can forget the world, free your imagination and feel good about the chirping of birds and the scents of jasmine. The exterior deliberately delabrè, the interiors vibrant, modern, but with echoes of tradition. A never banal combination, a constant dialogue between nature and the atmosphere of another era; an unexceptionable and constant harmony of sounds, colors, scents and sensations.
The Canonica degli Archi stands imposingly on a Mediterranean garden on the slopes of Etna and very close to the sea; it belonged to the Pennisi di Floristella dynasty, one of the most ancient and noble families of Acireale.
The dwelling was built in 1700 by the ecclesiastical head of the time, Don Marcantonio Gambino, vicar forane of the Cathedral of Acireale.
The palace in authentic Sicilian style was built in various phases relatively close in time. It consists of six modules, plus a central one, including the ground floor, the mezzanine floor and the so-called noble floor where the Maison De Charme “PAHMURI” with attached SPA will be born, by the will of the current owner Giuseppe Patanè, artist and fashion designer with an eclectic and passionate charisma; it is a receptive structure able to host a refined, attentive and demanding public.
